I am an upholsterer and maker based in Leyton Industrial Estate, just behind the Walthamstow marshes. With a background in Fine Art, I have pursued many artistic lines of work, choosing to re-train as an upholsterer as a way of utilising my strong practical skills, creative eye and attention to detail.
Inspired by the skill and craftsmanship of upholstery, I use traditional and contemporary techniques to breathe new life in to pieces of furniture which might have otherwise been discarded.
Completing my diploma in Traditional and Modern Upholstery at London Metropolitan University, I have gone on to work for numerous private clients as well as interior designers, design companies, fashion houses and architects.
Fascinated by the potential of materials and craft methods, I continue to explore how these can be combined to create new and exciting design aesthetics.
I am available for private commissions and larger corporate projects.
